A straw coloured bitter derived from New Zealand hops. A unique floral and hoppy aroma with notes of Turkish delight to taste. This beer has been winning awards since 2007 when it was first awarded ‘Best Beer of Festival’ at the CAMRA Herts and Essex Borders beer festival. It has since gone on to win 2 Golds in 2013 and 2015 from SIBA and CAMRA.

Hazy orange beer, tidy off white head. Very nice nose of orange cream. Light palate, soft and semi dry. Water chesnuts and a pleasant dash of citrus. Mild seltzer minerals. Finish is semi dry and soapy. Infected but not a complete disaster!

Cask@GBBF2010. Amber colour with small beige head. Aroma and flavour are fruity and floral hops along with some nectar, caramel malts and also some quite wooden notes.

Handpulled cask at the Pembury Tavern on 15th July 2009. Pale orange with quickly-disappearing white thin head. Flat and hazy appearance. Strong notes of peach and grapefruit in equal measure, in the forefront with a subtle background hoppiness. Becomes dry in the finish with citric astringency. Although not a favourite, I found this a very interesting beer.

Cask, Far from the Madding Crowd Beer Fest’ in the company of Doppelganger. This beer poured a warm golden colour. Aroma hoppy and with some citrus notes but the taste was sublime, a real explosion of zestiness and fruitiness, with grapefruit flavours forcing their way through in this wonderfully hoppy beer, wonderful lingering bittereness and a most enjoyable finish. Maybe it was the condition of this beer which was top notch in my opinion, or maybe it was just because I got so much more from it than I expected, but this really was a superb session beer that I really savoured.

Cask at GBBF 06. Hazy copper with thick cream head. Good hoppy aroma. OK in mouth. Reasonable malt. Soft in mouth. Good hop finish. US style hops. I like it, soft and hoppy.
