Cask, handpump at the Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 27-04-09 Pours gold with a thin white head. Like the Mauldons Cuckoo this also has a touch of the floral about the nose along with some honey. The strength is apparent but there it doesnโt detract from the drinking experience. Plenty of honey, sweet malts, quite tangy but backed up with that sweet twist. This is actually quite bitter at times. A nice beer. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.Clear medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, fruity. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (010508)

Cask@Loughborough Beer Festival 2008. Pale golden beer with a quite dry and vinous aroma. The flavour is vinous and malty. Overall a reasonable strong pale drink.
