Half-pint, cask, shared with Finn at Bell Inn. Bright golden body. Shiny naked at the surface. Spotty lacing. Mid-sweet aroma of apples and earthy malts. Mixed taste of mid-sweet apples and honeyed malts. Rounded mid-dry end. Medium bodied. Satisfying. (Bath 03.05.2017).

Cask@GBBF2011. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bready, wooden hops as well as some mild herbal notes. Flavour is wood, mild resiny notes as well as some mild caramel and crystal malty notes.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2011. Clear gold colour with lasting white head. Pretty looking beer. Lager yeast aroma. Ok in mouth. Drinks somehow like a biere de garde. I mean it really does. Yes a decent condition biere de garde

Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. Hazy amber with a loose soapy looking off-white head; aromas of citrus, honey and caramel; smooth with a touch of honey to satrt and then developing a pronounced grapefruit flavour, both sweet and tart; leading to a long herby bitter finish. A beautiful pint.

Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, Bath 5/10/08. Pale gold with a slight white head. Aroma of hay, digestive biscuits and a hint of floral hops. Light flavours of sweet malts, grassy hops and summer fruits. A bit subdued and lagery.

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.Clear light yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (010508)

[Bottle conditioned] An amber beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet, slightly roasted, and with slight notes of honey. The flavor is sweet roasted with hints of yeast and hops. The end is dry hoppy.
