Our much-lauded 'Original' is a self-styled traditional stout. Made with a complex blend of five malts to give a full-flavoured, yet smooth and easy drinking base and bittered with a blend of Saaz, Fuggle and Styrian Goldings for a subtle hop aroma.

Cask@Derby Winter Beer Festival 2007. Black beer with strong head. The aroma is roasted and mild and the flavour is watery and mildly malty. Overall a nice gentle beer, more like a mild than a stout.
