On cask at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - Clear mahogany body, off white top. Toffee, caramel, Soreen, sweet treacle, dark cake fruit finish. Very nice version of what Newcastle Brown USED to be like back in the day.

Spoons Spring Fest 2025 - toasted sweet malty with notes of caramel and toffee, nutty accents, hoppy undertones, soft cask carb and mouthfeel, bitter hoppy finish. Nice one.

Beer number 27 of 28 at the Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2025, plus have tried the two variations in names I've previously tried, so just the Butcombe's contribution to go. Enjoyable dark malty effort, fruity, verging on roasted, some sweetness. Found at the newly refurbished Postern Gate pub that only reopened yesterday, with the workers still to remove their leftovers.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A clear chestnut brown coloured pour with a loose off white head. Aroma is semi sweet, layered malts, nutty liquorice, treacle, brown bread. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, layered malts, dried fruit, raisin, malt loaf, burnt toast. Palate is semi sweet rounded, moderate cask condition. Little astringent in the finish.

Handpull cask at the Keans Head, Nottingham. Mid-brown and a little yranslucent with an uneven beige head. Light woody aroma. Some light chocolate malts. Taste is quite bitter which is fine with me. More light woodiness on the finish. Light body with soft carbonation. A bit dull but solid.
