This series of beers is inspired by over 100 breweries we've visited on the West Coast of the USA, and builds on the work of our modern classic Pale Ale SoCal.
On this second iteration, Yachats, we've used a classic Pilsner yeast strain to try and allow the hops to sing unhindered. Mosaic, Centennial and Columbus take the lead to give you a dank yet clean drinking experience.
From enjoying rich, malty and resinous beers brewed with classic English ale yeast, to the lightest and driest aromatic beers made with delicate yeast that barely shows up in the glass, we love it all!

440ml can from Kura’s Krafts, Kuala Lumpur. Gushed a hazy yellow golden colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy, lemon lime. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, somewhat light, tart citrus, fresh, dry, light dank, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Nice, but didn’t really have the bitterness I expected from a Westie.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Bright clear paleish gold beer, decent but short lived bubbly off white head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, a good straight grainy sweetness, a honey. Soft piney citrus, well rounded and reasonably juicy. A little stone fruits on the back end. A light and semi dry finish brings a modest hop spice nip. Clean and drinkable.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 08/04/2025.
Clear golden topped with a well presented lasting white head.
Nose is grass, pale malts, light cereal notes, toasted grains, mellow citric peel.
Taste comprises orange zest, grass, pine needle, melon, lemon rind, citric tinged straw.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with grassy hop bitterness.
Okay pale but struggling to find the love the others have!

Pours clear gold with a decent white cap. Nice malty caramel hit, light lemon vibe, yeast esters, a bit of grain. Nice dry malty finish lifted by the lemon. Clean and refreshing. Solid.
