Many many thanks to Kolschtrinker for this sample! Pours dark, brown ubbles. Aroma is woody, leathery, roast. taste presents woody, leather forest leaves, toasted oak, ashtray, moderate roast with a gentle peat influence. Pretty complex, certainly doesn't seem like the 14 years aging has mellowed it much. No oxidisation either. Very good.

Kellerfund, Batch #54, MHD 1.1.12. Danke an meinen Tauschpartner vor 10 Jahren. Minimales Zischen beim Öffnen, eher Alibi-mäßig. Rauchig malziger Beginn mit viel Holz, erkennbare Oxidation, noch wenig ausgeprägt. Mild alkoholischer Mittelteil, Rauch, Vanille, etwas Schokolade. Cremig, milde Süße, weiche Herbe. Langer rauchig-malziger Agang trocken, Heu. 9/12/12/11/13/12

2005 Vintage. Opaque black brown stout. Nose of malt, whisky and wood. Palate is fairly neutral but low on carbonation. A little unsweet dark chocolate quickly gives way to mellow Islay repleat with a smoky note. Finishes a little tangy with more whisky and smoke. Decent.

375 ml bottle courtesy of Marsiblursi, Pours oily very dark brown with no head worth mentioning. Has a very vinous look to it. Smell is sweet and rather subtle with roasted malts, peat, whisky, hints of liquorice, alcohol, slight oxidation and rubber notes. Taste is sweet and slightly bitter with lots of peat, roasted malts, wood, vanilla, chocolate, plums, cherries, smoke and dusty hints of oxidation. Mouthfeel is vinous with no carbonation. Finish is slightly sweet, bitter and slightly tart with coffee and bitter chocolate. Sadly a bit too old. A fresher bottle with atleast some carbonation would have made a great whisky aged beer.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a rim of dark brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, roasted malt, and whiskey. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, whiskey, and soy sauce, leading to a dry wood and alcoholic finish.

375ml bottle pours a oily, opaque black with some spitty, deep brown head. Smells like a campfire, soapy, whiskey, plastic. Smells like a salty, seaside scotch. Flavor is hugely boozy, scotch, wood, paint thinner, light sweetness. Just way too much. Full bodied, heavy, boozy finish. Drain pour.

Bottle. Very dark brown and flat. Intense whisky aroma, and lots of peat, smoke and whisky in the taste, too much I think. No carbonation. Powerful.
