Pours dark, w/moderate head. Aroma is cafe, it’s not bad but needs more complexity IMO.

deep black pour, aroma of roasted malt, and a touch of coffee, and some cheap grain. Nice thick mouth feel, some roasted malt in the flavour, and more cheap grain, meh. Decent stout. I prefer the draught out of the can.

Bottle from some dump bodega around Inwood. Notes from 12/25/10. Thin, matte black color. A gentle khaki head. Smells of licorice & charred bread. Simple enough. Watered down coffee & toasted brown bread, with anise drawing from the middle on through to the end. Soft texture, but it burns a bit going down. Solid, if somewhat bland.

12 oz bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown/black with am medium sized beige head that has fair retention. The aroma is strong with well roasted grains and some bitter coffee. The taste, like the aroma, is blackened grains, coffee and perhaps some burnt toast. The palate is medium and the carbonation is lively. Finishes long and dry with lingering burnt grains. Overall: decent. bought this making Welsh Rarebit, but it really did not work out well for that dish.

330ml @ 🏬 during St. Patrick Day celebration. Appearance: brown with a huge beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, fruity notes, some raw water. Taste: along the same lines. Finishes with bitterness. Overall: ok, nothing special.

Somehow haven't rated this before now. Dry roast, creamy head and dry finish. Hint of old leather and some light bitter but. Black pour with great head and lacing.
