500ml bottle, many thanks to faroeviking. Motor oily pour, near-jet black body added by brownish highlights. Tan-coloured head. Roasted malty nose, hints of dark chocolate. Fine blended flavours of black and brown malts, coffee grounds and dark chocolate, joined by dusty hops. Roasted malt bitter ending, long-lived. Soft and mouthfilling. Tasty (hotel room, Copenhagen 26.05.2013).

this beer is alive! after opening, foam kept coming out for 5 minutes, pitch black and sizable brown head still after 5 min. aroma is licorice, roasted grains, coffee and slight hops. very dry real nice aroma, flavor is lots of roasted grains, much english licorice, vanilla, caramel, sugar. nice crafted brew. overall :delicious, except my laptop thought it was too lively as i opened it with the closed laptop below. (don’t ask why)
