Bottle, 75cl corked. It’s an almost clear one, dark golden in color and with a dense, off-white head. Sugary-sweet on the fruity nose. Hints of yeast. Dried fruits, candi-sugar sweetness and some yeast in the mouth, full to medium body. Overall, too sweet but far from bad. Don’t think I could down a bottle on my own, but to share it with a couple of friends would work. Don’t think it will happen though, there are fare more interesting saisons available. 101015

Medium coarseish white head. Hazy amber body. Grainy orangey aroma with mealy notes. (At this point my notes go on to say "You are very drunk, you silly person. Go home." The handwriting bears this out.) Sweet-dryish grainy raisiny taste with mealy fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Dry fruity herbal aftertaste with mealy peppery notes. Nice. (0.75l bottle shared by gr0ve.)

(bottle, 75cl) Cloudy, copper colour with a short off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty, sweet bready malty aroma with notes of caramel, woody hops and a Brandy-like alcoholic touch. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Robust malty, almost syrupy base with caramel and strong notes of alcohol; oily and sweet malty finish. One-dimensional. 07.X.09

75 cl Champagneflaske: Hazy, amber coloured, mid-sized beige head with a little lace; sweet malty nose with a tinge of molasses and dried fruits; pretty sweet flavour, balanced by a light bitterness, medium bodied, smooth; short, a bit cloying, sweet fruity-malty finish. Far too sweet.....
