Draft sample at the brewpub. Black, brown head, very thick. Aroma of dark chocolate. Taste of roasted coffee with a bitter finish. Our favorite of 6 samples.

bottle pours black with a medium dark tan head. Aroma is chocolate malt with nuts and toast. Flavor is very rich. Lots of chocolate malt and bakers chocolate with a creamy feel and a burnt sugar finish. This is a very good basic stout.

12 oz bottle from Sparky27. Pour is mostly black with light cordovan highlights, nice full one inch taupe head. Thick lacing as the head slowly falls. Aroma of mild roasted malt, with a hint of some tangerine sweetness and dusty peanut shells. Odd, never smelled that one (peanut shells) before. Taste is flat, old office coffee with some artificial sweetener mixed in. Remarkably, the peanut taste is present in the finish - along with a decent blast of Crystal malt. As this warms, quite a bit of diacetyl reveals itself, certainly detracting. Palate is medium, decently carbonated with a longish dusty finish. Interesting enough beer, similar to the other Nimbus beers, a little but all over the place. Thanks Eric!

Courtesy of gunhaver. Pours dark brown with thin off white head. The aroma is very nice and inviting with roast, molasses, some toffee, chocolate and smooth mild burnt malts. The taste begins thin with roast and burnt malts then moving into hints of molasses and chocolate. The burnt malts grow into the finish. The nose overstated the goodness of the flavor. Still mighty fine though.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of Sparky27. Thanks! And finally I have an Arizona rating that’s not Cave Creek Chili Beer. Woot! Pours a very, very dark brown color. Thin head with good head retention and fair lacing. Very nutty roasted malt aroma with caramel and oats. Taste is nuts, caramel, chocolate, smoke. Medium bodied.

12oz bottle came as an extra in my trade with Shyam. Thanks! Pours a opaque black with a bubbly cola tan head with an overall watery consistency. Aroma of roasted malts, nuts, crackers, and sugar. Flavor is very similar, roasted malts and nuts obviously, but also very sweet and sugary. Reminded me of eating a dark chocolate cookie. Finish is dry and sweet. A definite session beer, maybe a little pedestrian, but enjoyable.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of FlacoAlto. Pours black and opaque with a creamy, light brown head. Lighly burned malt aroma with a vanilla whiff. The body is fairly light with burned malt accents that also leave a solid malt bitterness. Decent. 290308
