Hazy medium golden color. Frothy white head. Nice piney nose with soapy notes and some odd stewed apricots, but hop character is nicely defined. Biscuit malt, pine and soapy dominate the mouth. Light dry and bitter. Not grassy or over attenuated. Nice stuff. Enjoying this outside my apartment watching fireworks with my wife, makes it just a bit more enjoyable.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Minoh Kozaru Session IPA is a beer I’ve been meaning to try since last year. It pours a light gold with a lovely west coast hop nose of herbs & fruits. Light but soft bodied, the taste is sharply bitter, earthy, pine then a light sweet fruitiness. A solid Session IPA.

On tap at CBM Koenji. Served in a shaker pint. Slightly hazy pale golden straw color with a small white head. Big aromas of white grapefruit and citrus. Slightly grassy character as well. Bitter on the palate. Great lively carbonation. Slightly peppery on the palate as well. Bitter finish but not overly so. Tap at Qbrick. Deep cloudy golden color. Lovely grapefruit nose, light pilsner malts, biscuit, zest. Fabulous grapefurit flavor, crisp, tart, lovely, some muscat, biscuits, melon and a touch of mango later as it warms. Well done. Just a touch sweeter than I want for a session, but good.
