50 cL bottle@fonefan/Brugmansia’s Cnudde tasting. Pours murky yellow with a fully gone head. Dry woody and towards a citric note. Dry acidic flavour with a mild wheat note. Light citrus and orange peel flavoured. Mild spice note in addition. Ends a bit more smooth than the initial acidic flavour.

(Bottle at Sous-Bock, Paris, 16 Oct) Golden yellow colour with small white head. Milky sediment on the bottom making it rather hazy. Fruity nose with citrussy notes of orange, mandarin and spices (clove). Fruity taste with mandarin, apricots and a soft wheat character. Very lively, lots of carbonation. The sediment at the bottom actually enhances the flavour, making it slightly creamy. A good attempt at a beer style that isn’t really my favourite style.

Draught Fully hazy straw-yellow beer with a small white, dense head, leaving some lace. Coriander, bubble gum, fruity nose. Coriander, sweet-sour wheat, hyper-classical. Light to medium bodied, wheat slickness. Technically OK, but still terribly boring wit.

[At Fete de la Biere 2004, Lausanne] An opaque orange-brown beer - like rotten water. The aroma is very spicy and fresh - it even prickles th nose. The flavor is weird spicy - but I can’t pick out the spices. The end is thin.

Bottled. Yellow in colour, cloudy with small head. Aroma of Grand Marnier. Vinous with some lactic acid, full bodied and malty. Fruity and white wine-like with gentle mouthfeel. Refreshing, yet flavourful and highly controversial.
