Sample from 0,5 l. bottle at the brewery. Clear brown colour with a huge off-white head. Lots of caramel malts in the aroma. The taste is sweet with notes of caramel malts. Thin to medium body, the beers are overcarbonated and foaming all over the table. Short, sweet finish. This beer tastes as the other Jelling Bryghus beers like something a home brewer would make.

Since when is it to the style that a friggin’ Brown Ale should gush out of the bottle and wet my computer, my desk and my feet and the floor?. If this beer was a computer program, it would have worms and virusses in it. Clear dark red, small beige head. Looks okay after it has exploded. spicy caramelly and sweet dark fruity aroma. Could be a belgian strong brown beer, or some infected shit from jelling, I don’t know yet. Flavor is pretty sour, spicy, hay and grass bitterness, ends bitter and sour. The beer bottle looks great, and there is a small pamphlet who mentions nothing at all about the beer (would probably also lower sales "this beer is sour and tastes like sheite" but about some monk who inspired them to give the beer its name. Now, these days, most other Danish brewers have learned not to make beer that turns sour and tasets like grasswater, could someone please tell the brwer at jelling the tricks. This is not the first disappointing bottle from them. I almost don’t dare finish this one. It’s not even a good sour by any standard.

Bottle at Chris_o birthday bash 08. Cloudy hazy orange gold. thin beige head. Oddish subtle sherbert hop aroma. Just a bit odd, not sure what it’s supposed to be. Malts are a little syrupy, over carbonated in mouth. Not off, just not going anywhere. Some lemon.
