Aroma of roasted malts, sweet caramel, liquorice, lots of anise. Flavour is heavy sweetness, spices, anise. Sticky mouthfeel. Definitely not my kind of beer.

500ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with slightly late awakening, small to average, thick, creamy, slowly diminishing, minimally lacing, dark beige head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of dark chocolate, couverture, chocolate sauce, a touch of nougat and toffee, some coffee, very cautious spicy overtones. Taste is slightly bitter, roasty dark malty and minimally spicy, notes of coffee, hints of dark chocolate, a cautious, spicy touch of aniseed. A bit simple and restricted.
