This is a tasty time-traveling tribute to an all time iconic beer style - the India Pale Ale. Though the style goes 200 years back this time around we re-created a 1985 style IPA - perhaps you remember the hip hop times. Enjoy a full on hoppy beer infused with everything you loved about the 80’s. The future is now.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: deep copper color with a slight transparency closer to the sides and a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: some citrusy and piney hops with a nice semi-dirty caramel/toffee malt base (I guess they intentionally "dirtied" up the malts a bit? hmmm, or maybe that's me at this point with Evil Twin, nothing really surprises me anymore)
Flavor: citrusy and piney hops and the dirty malts equals long finish of caramel and old butterscotch schnaps mixed with the ice cubes from your uncle's bad breath after his 50th cigarette
Texture: medium bodied - hmmmm, maybe; sessionable - oh hell no but to want to sip this - well I don't see that either; no where near smooth and this is dry as all get out
Overall: well, they did what they said they did, they made and I was dumb enough to try this. Maybe next time they do something similar they can find a local dive bar and re-run this beer like 500 times through the dirtiest lines and say we "brewed a new beer and it's called 'You're Foolish If You Try This IPA.'

Don't tempt fate, Adam, go onto your next review, knucklehead.

Canned. Orangey brown pour. Strong hope aroma and bitter, I guess it was like drinking your first iPa? I don’t really remember.

Can at home. Aroma is soft floral-ish hops, light malt, fruits, touch of citrus, hint of caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. A very pleasant history lesson, soft and enjoyable IPA with good balance.

Can from Bishops Cave. Possibly not the freshest, feels more malty than anything. Bit earthy, touch of tropical fruit and minerals, pineapple.

14.07.2018, 12 oz can @ summer house in Blvand:
Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet floral, wet leafs, wet hay, light malts, old moss, cereal, minerals, grass, flowers, caramel, bark, alcohol, dried fruits, wet hops, wash cloth. Taste is harsh floral, weeds, old moss, bark, old leafs, minerals, wet hay, harsh grass, sawdust, old wash cloth, paper, alcohol, bark, harsh hops, medicine. Longlasting harsh bitterness, dry medical mouthfeel. So boring.

0.33 l can at a discount last summer at The Real Beer, Bucharest. Shared with lovely Anja. Might have been a bit old. Cloudy golden, off-white head. Moderately hoppy, floral. Moderate bitterness, orange or grapefruit. Medium body, moderate carbonation, moderately dry finish. Good, but not spectacular.

can - Gold pour, one finger head, aroma of pine, grain, and a little citrus. The flavor is bitter with resin and mild citrus, a little earthy, medium bodied. Decent beer.

Can as pictured. Looks somewhat like a lager with a slight haze. Taste is astringent bitter perfumy IPA fer sure. What else can be said except that it has a quite bitter sharply unpleasant astringent finish as well. Not impressed, rather rude. Nasty nellie, negative naughty knucklehead. Fortunately there is a little carbonation that keeps me from pouring this in the drain, whew. Yucky kuckie.

Can from Discount. Pours a deep gold with a small head. Grainy malt and light lemon notes with pine as it warms. Caramel and sweet malt with a mild bitter finish. Definitely retro.
