Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford in August 2014. Pours black with a fine beige head. Aroma: roast malt, light chocolate. Taste: light sweet & bitter, light chocolate, mocha vibes. Medium body with light carbonation

Cask @ Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, caramel and toffee. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 191018

Cask at The Red Lion, Skegness. Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, toffee, chocolate, liquorice, asted malt and nut. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft to flat carbonation.

Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Opaque pitch black color, virtually no head. Smell and taste malts, lightly roasted malts, brown malts, earthy, malt bitter. Average to decent body and medium carbonation.

Tried at the brewery. Dark almost black colour with a tan head. Roasted malt aroma and a touch of fruit. Taste is roasted malt. A touch musty.

Cask at The Waggon & Horses, York. Dark brown, reddish tinge. Off-white head. Aromas of dried fruit, caramel and chocolate. Taste has light nuttiness, quite a sweet finish. OK.
