Pale Ale - American Style / APA Regular|

This one is a hybrid approach to American Pale Ale. It has the classic hallmarks such as dryness, a decent bitter finish and citrus and pine notes. But where it differs is the body has a silkiness due to a modest percentage of flaked oats in the grist. This has the effect of really carrying the dank citrus and pine resin hop character of Mosaic, Simcoe and Strata all the way through each sip.

Can from Silke. Golden with a creamy, white head. Aroma is peaches meets dank cellar meets oatmeal. Taste is moderate bitter with a strong, citric twist. Oatmeal sweet undertones. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not bad but didn’t appeal to me.

Pours clear blonde. Big white head. Scent is oranges. Taste is full, mildly swet, orange, medium carbo and body. Malty finish. Balanced. Not my favorite hoparoma though.
