Bottle from Connolly's Wine Merchants. Pours a clear amber with small white head. Aroma of malts, some flora and spice but fairly inconspicuous. Taste of malts, quite floral and bitter, resin, orange sweets, light to medium bodied. Mediocre, probably better on cask if kept well.

Cask @ Great Western, Wolverhampton before seeing Derren Brown. Clear amber, off-white head. Fine malty fruity leanings, mild maltloaf. Light bodied. An honest fruity bitter I suppose, but in the grand scheme of things poor and sub-standard as a beer.

Cask at Great Western, Wolverhampton. Pours a burnished gold with a small white head and good lacing. Treacle and malts in the aroma together with orange undertones. Sweet malts dominate the flavour, together with barley sugar sweets, but there are also traces of nuts and honey. Finish is sweet and dry. A bostin’ good bitter !

Historical tick which I am adding as a rate so that I can see the impact it has on my stats. 500 Beers To Try Before You Die. At a Holden's pub in Stourbridge when I went in search of ticks. Drank it quickly and left unimpressed.
