On tap at the Brewpub. Amber with a thin off-white head. Vague aroma of caramel and malt. Flavor is mild caramel, slightly roasted malt and a mild bitterness. Quite smooth and easy, not particularly outstanding.

Bottle, 7.0%. Sweet and malty aroma, brown sugar. Seemingly clear shiny reddish chestnut colour. Small head, almost white. The flavour is quite powerful, starts off with a little anis, then turns very malty with a good alcohol punch. The bitterness is a little rough, but all in all a good beer. Quite close to a German doppelbock, not among the best, but not the worst either.
