Rides a relatively modest ABV yet still has a basket brimming full of aromatic American hops. Pale and Caramel hops combine to balance the hops that make up the gears of this beer. Session IPA fixed with Chinook, Centennial. Saddled with English Malt, Californian Yeast. Geared for enjoyment. Free Wheeling.

Tap. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is farty hops, also some juicy peach and apricots. Taste is peach, apricot, mango, some farty flavours again. Medium carbonation. Not bad, but a bit farty.

From 33cl bottle. Pours amber with limited white foam. Aroma is sweet and fruity, very pleasant. Body is medium-light with fairly low carbonation. Taste has low sweetness and some bitterness, not intense. In general, taste is much weaker than aroma. Somehow disappointing, but after all it’s a session IPA... Finish is short enough.

Tap at the Friends of Ham, Leeds. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of hop, citrus and light tropical fruit. Light sweetness and quite heavy bitterness. Light body and slight oily texture, carbonation is average. Good flavour for a session level IPA.

On tap at the Queens Head, Kings Cross. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma tropical fruit taste starts with mid sweet fruit, moving to a balanced bitter sweet finish. Medium body. Very refreshing on a hot day.

Modest head disappearing quickly. Lots of carbonation. Boring gold body. Aroma is a mix of hops and pine-sol, which reminds me, really gotta mop my floor when I get home. Flavour is an odd mix of cigarette ash and hops, some lemon on the finish. Crisp on the mouth though. If you’d ask me to session an IPA it wouldn’t be this one.
