This pours a clear gold with a 2 finger head of foam. Good looking brew in my SAs glass.

The smell has a lot of maltiness to it with big notes of caramel and some bread but I also get some citrus. Nicely balanced nose; I hope that translates to a nicely balanced taste.

The taste has that caramel and bread, along with the citrus hop bitterness and is quite tasty. Cream Ale huh? I don't think I've tried a better example of this somewhat unique style but I have to say that the alcohol is pretty noticeable so I'll have to take that into account when it comes to drinkability. Otherwise, the body is nicely medium to medium full and the carbonation is also medium. It finishes on the caramel malt sweet side. Btw, head retention is quite good and there's some good lacing.

Overall, it's a good brew but not one that I could drink more than 1 of at a sitting. Nothing wrong with that.

Bottled at PBF. Clear golden, medium sized airy head. Conensed sweaty lychee aroma. Sweet and malty. Buttery malt wrapped in a thick blanket of hops. Hop driven despite solid body. Long perfumy bitterness.

Bottled (PBF). Clear pale amber color, small white head. Bready hoppy aroma. Starts light and metallic ... then bready hoppy. Very simple, fruity hoppy, almost APA-like flavor.

Bottle. Slightly hazy, medium size yellowish head. Citrusy hoppy aroma but it tastes more of german hops. I would have labled it a APA.

Aroma: Really different nose, not something I can compare to anything I've tried recently.
Appearance: Poors a nice orange color, with a lasting creamy head.
Flavor: Taste is sweet and hoppy, certainly worth a drink.

bottle. clear dark orange, huge thick lasting light orange head. looks real good. arona is strong, i could easily sense it while pouring. sweet, hoppy, caramel, citrussy notes. after sitting a little while, the aroma gets a little more bitter, and a little more cellary. flavor is smooth, hoppy , slightly spicy, caramelly, sweet, ends sweet and bitter in a good mix. mouthfeel is soo soft. everything about thsi beer is great. not first time lagunitas made something i really like a lot.
