Swing top bottle. Blonde, cloudy. Lemon and banana in the aroma and flavor. Just a touch of grass. Medium bodied. Citrus aftertaste. Not unpleasant, but kinda average.

Bügelverschlußflasche: A bit hazy, deep golden with a stable bigger head; yeasty-lemony nose with a light grainy background; light sweetish-sourish flavour, light bodied; short sweetish-wheaty finish. No glory........

Re-rate from bottle. Clay and spice aroma. Orange yellow clouds, low white lace. Medium to light body, dry, salty, spicy, light ginger. Dusty aftertaste. Not a bum bottle this time, but I am not a big fan of the dry clayish notes. Old rating: 3 3 3 1 6 Bottle. Cloudy yellow, creamy off-white head. Necrotic yeast nose. Minereally, dead yeast (de bottle is well before its BB date) on clove and banana. Medium to light body, somewhat flat, seems there wasnt anything to keep the yeast going in that bottle. Light body. Not a good expererience.

Bottle, 4.9%. Weak banana aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Big white head, a bit fizzy. The flavour is also a bit weak. Faint banana flavour, hint of citrus.

The bottle looks not really good, very simple, I think. The beer in the glass is modest turbid, not much foam. The beer tastes not really fruity, more sourish and moldy. Dry-yeasty finish. Not so good!

Test vom 5.12.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,9,9,10,12,9 - 9,60

(swing top bottle, Franken Bräu Weißbier, 4.9% abv) Cloudy, orange colour with a mid-sized, diminishing foamy white head. Discreet aroma: yeasty, slightly sweet, moderately wheaty and fruity (banana) nose with light notes of cloves. Slightly sweet flavour with yeasty bitterness, light bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Wheat-malty, yeasty and fruity taste with no ups and downs; light-sweet and slightly bitter and clovy finish. Middle of the road Weizen.
