Bomber - nice to see a traditional attempt at this style in the states every once in a while - while the addition of cherrywood smoked malt is the one non-traditional aspect here, it certainly works, adding subtle smoke to layers of dark fruit, vanilla, berries, bittersweet chocolate - a moderate, bright acidity cuts the sweeter notes, as does the mild smokiness - nothing fancy - nothing blended together from 100 barrels - just a subtle twist on an underappreciated style - smooth, rich, and impressive.
