This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.
16 oz. can. 8.2% ABV.
AROMA: Sweet with fairly strong scents of banana, clove, and bubble-gum, followed by hints of licorice and raisins.
APPEARANCE: Pours a cloudy, semi-translucent, reddish-brown. The head is off-white and dissipates slowly with good lacing.
TASTE: It is slightly sweet, but nowhere near as sweet as the aroma would have you believe. Initial flavors of wheat, banana and clove. The backend is a little on the astringent side (probably due to the higher alcohol content), but I still get hints of raisins or other dark fruit.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-to-full bodied with average carbonation. The finish is crisp and a bit dry.
OVERALL: It's a nicely constructed beer, but there's nothing that makes me say "Wow!". The aroma is quite nice, but doesn't really match what the beer delivers in flavor. The flavors, body, and appearance are all good ... just not outstanding. Don't get me wrong, I like the beer well enough, I just prefer a host of others over it. To be fair, I did drink this beer while it was still fairly cold from the refrigerator, rather than letting it warm up a bit beforehand. Next time, I will try it at room temperature to see if the flavors pop a little more.

Color marrón con destellos rojo rubí. Espuma abundante y persistente.

Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Muddy brown. Solid beige head is fully lasting. Nose has smoked almonds. Fig. Vanilla. Smelly banana. Taste is sweet and creamy. Smooth mouthfeel. Soft and foamy carbonation. Drinks easy. Hint of sour and dry on the finish. Pretty mad. Never expected the smoke thing.
