Tap at the brewery - in the age of big, burly imperial stouts brewed with fucking brownie batter and aged in bourbon barrels nestled in caves for two years, along comes this breath of fresh air - it uses adjuncts, sure, but the malt is still really the star here - carbonation is soft and full, and the body is full without being a lead weight in the mouth or stomach - deep flavors of dark chocolate, dried cherry and blueberry, with the roast of the coffee adding roast and a bright but not overpowering or abrasive acidity - well balanced and full-flavored.
