Pint on tap at Finger Post Stockport. Slight malt nose, bronze beer with solid lasting white head, no carbonation. Watery beer with really interesting toasty/cashew aftertaste. Very easy to drink.

Draught and a bit too cold. Smooth and fresh mild, easy to drink. Hints of fruitiness, malty, slightly bitter. Nice Ale.

Cask: half-pint in the lovely Kinver Constitutional Club on 3rd June 2014. . Poured a clear reddy amber with a full white head. Nose was mildly light malt. The taste was semi bitter but watery and weak. There was also a strange ’twang’ to the flavour. I didn’t much care for this brew and seem to be struggling with Robinsons beers in general when ever I try one.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is light malt. The flavour is medium to light bitter with a watery light hop bitter metallic palate. Not a classic. It’s hard to believe that the same brewery that brews Old Tom could brew this.

Cask by handpump, half-pint shared with Finn at NWAF. Brown coloured body, slightly hazy. No head. Malty-fruity aroma, hint of rhubarb. Taste of semi-tart fruits and nutty malts. Dry hopped ending. Thin in the mouth. Different, carries some interests (Manchester, 24.01.2013).

Cask, 3.3% as Dark Hatters. The flavour starts off with a bit of green apple. Turns slightly roasted, still mild, of course. Not so great, perhaps not quite fresh.
