Cask@The White Horse. Golden color, small white head. Light fruity (pear) nose. Sweet fruity flavor, some alcohol. Pear and apples. Good body ... but not much going on here.

Cask gravity @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear medium to dark yellow color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light malty, roasted, moderate hoppy, flowers. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. ;o)

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm) Golden yellow colour with frothy white head. Fruity nose with notes of lemon and grassy, floral hops. Fruity, floral, hoppy taste with lemon, citrus peel and grassy, citrussy hops in the finish. Malty sweetness increases towards the end. Actually I prefer the ordinary Hophead due to its dry crispness, but this is still a nice beer, as expected from Dark Star.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Pale golden. Rich aroma of grapefruit and lychee. Sweet, soft and fairly full bodied. Much more powerful than regular Hophead, but increased sweetness and body reduces drinkability. A compact, really good beer, but I still prefer the junior version.

Cask Conditioned at Black Door, Helsinki
Hazy blond color; persistent head. Very nice hoppy aroma, fresh, fruity (yellow fruits; peach…), light green hops. Mellow, sweet flavor, malty, a bit fruity, where the nice hop is just a sparring partner. Atypical Golden Ale, dangerously drinkable! Excellent.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. Gold, lasting white head. Little bit of dull stale hay on aroma. Then more citrusy hop. Very good in mouth, full, little bit of syrup, but in a good way. Great hop finish. A brilliant strong English golden beer, but no way near as good as the regular Hophead.
