9/3/2023. Cask at The Kings Head, Salisbury. Pours clear pale amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is leafy, caramel, malt, dried fruit, hint of chocolate. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness.

Cask @ King’s Head, Salisbury. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and fruity. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 090323

Cask @ The Kings Head, Salisbury. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, hops, fruits and has s nice sweet caramel finish.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A pale chestnut pour with a loose cream head; bready aroma; syrupy in the mouth with a slightly sour grainy taste; then a biscuity finish with traces of sour fruit.

Cask at Butlers Bell, Stafford Pours a golden yellow with a small white head. Has a aroma that is vaguely nutty. Texture in the mouth is creamy and the taste is mainly caramel with some hops. Has a finish that si slightly bitter. This is really a nothing sort of beer.

Cask at the Last Post (JDW), Southend on Sea. Glowing amber with a thin off-white head. Heavy caramel at first is enlivened to a certain extent by lemon coming through in the finish. Just about ok.

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light hoppy notes of grapefruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of citrus and grapefruit, leading to a dry citrusy and bitter finish.

Bottled. Copper coloured, small head, which lasts long though. Aroma is wood, spices and hops. Flavour is malts, some and some yeastyness. Also some spices.

Bottle @ Chris_o shindig 2007. Unclear amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
