HPA is an easy-going real ale that brings people together. Our brewers have let locally grown Target and Celeia hops hang out with Maris Otter pale malt to give this understated brew its pale straw colour, citrus hop aroma and a balanced bitter finish.

Bottle BBE in 11 months. Pale straw appearance and a little cloudy with slight white head. Aroma of flora, citrus, light malts. Moderate carbonation and light body. Flavour of grains, citrus, quite sweet but not overdone. A very understated ale but has enough about it that I enjoyed it more and more as I finished the bottle. A wise move to have a lowish 4% ABV, this would make an excellent session ale as its very drinkable assuming it is similarly good on cask.

Cask at the Baiting House, Upper Sapey. Hazy yellow, white head. Malty, bit fruity, peaches, sweetish, light bitterness. Soft texture. Medium bodied.

Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton Pours a lemon yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Not much in the way of aroma, lust some hints of lemon and grass cuttings. A decent amount of citrus in the mouth, including lemon and grapefruit. Some floral hoppiness, but generally rather wtaery. Some honey and hops in the finish. Not the sort of beer I normally go for, but I rather like it. Definitely swiggable.

18/6/2019. Cask at the Pelican, Gloucester. Pours very pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, grapefruit, grass and flowers. Medium to heavy sweetness with light bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Quite sweet finish. Ok.

Cask @ Royal Oak, Shrewsbury. One of those beers ive saved for when theres no other new beers or ciders on and im faced with the glare of the barman and a silent pub. Today is the day. Pours a generally clear gold, white head. Aroma of light citrus, pale malt. Taste is clean, clear pale malt with a light sweetness. Drying close. Satisfyingly simple.
