Cask at The Coach House, Stratford-Upon-Avon. Clear amber pour with small creamy white head. Faint malty aroma. Taste of toffee, malts, slight floral resin. Smooth body, refreshing quality. Very basic but found it quite enjoyable.

Cask 9 years ago at the Victoria, Birmingham when i checking old photo's i was drinking this beer but apparently never rated it. Good i wrote it down somewhere on paper which i still have. Clear amber colored brew with an thun dry bitter taste and few hints of caramel. Slightly better than John Smith's.

I believe this beer is actually brewed by Brains. Anyway, cask at Imperial Tavern, Worcester. Pours golden amber with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. Malts are prominent in the aroma, alongside chestnuts and traces of hops and marmalade. In the mouth it is sweet but with some underlying bitterness which gradually increases. It is juicy with a creamy texture with flavour of oranges, traditional hops and a hint of peanut butter. Bitterness to the fore in a slightly fruity finish. Not drunk this for a good many years – it’s significantly better now than I remember it !

Cask-conditioned at the Imperial, Worcester 16/9/2022. I think I drank a beer from the same cask as jjsint and can confirm that it was seriously bland. Deep amber in colour and dull. Enough said.

Handpull cask at the Imperial Tavern, Worcester. Why? Because fuck it. Mid- to dark copper, clear with a film of off-white head. Metallic aroma with notes of chocolate malt, sweet cooking spice. Hmmm, maybe there's more to this. (Takes a sip.) No, it's metallic artifical bland crap. But it's better bland crap that I thought. Worth trying. I guess.

Half-pints by cask, shared with Finn at Jewellers Arms. Low sized off-white head leaving clingy lacing on the glass. Clear copper coloured body. Moderate aromas of caramel fruit. Caramel, toffee and a discreet note of leafy hops to the taste character. Short ending, discreet bittersweet. Approved. (Birmingham 06.02.2020).

Cask handpump at the Queen's head minehead. Probably a rebadge of a Sharp's beer. A clear amber copper coloured pour with a loose off white head. Aroma is light thin malts, light twig, raisin bread. Flavour is thin, chalky, mineral, brown thin malts. Palate is chalky, thin, lowish carbonation . Boring straight forward bitter.
