Lindemans Noir is a blend of oak-aged lambic and top fermented Belgian strong ale, complemented by the dark fruit flavor of blackcurrants, elderberries and blueberries. It pours a deep scarlet color with a compact foam head, and each sip imparts a full-bodied taste and surprisingly mellow finish despite the 8% ABV.

Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is cherries, some blackberies, almonds, some mild creamy tones too. Flavour cherries, blackcurrant, blackberries, almonds and mild alcohol sweetness with some slight almost lactose sweetness to it. High ABV actually makes this a quite nice drinker.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Sweet with lots of cherries, lightly tart dark/red fruits. Sweet rather than sour, but I don't mind it too much. Medium body.

0.25l bottle. Aroma of berries, cherries, wood, bubblegum and vanilla. Pours dark brown color with thin creamy tan-like head and good lacing. Bottle shared at the DCBeer February share. Poured a dark jammy purple color with a small off-white head. Aroma was big cherry liquor. Flavor had some chocolate covered cherries with cherry liquor, cherry cordial? Yeah, that's it.

250ml bottle from Carrefour. Pours a very dark amber with reddish hints, thin off-white head. Sticky sweet nose. Rich dark fruit concentrate coming through strong.. excessively sweet.. a touch boozy.. cloying almost.. lacks finesse.
