Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours hazy lightish straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with touches of bread and banana. Sourish, grainy flavour with sweetish notes of bread, yeast and malt and mild hints of banana. Malty and grainy afteraste with bready touches. Reasonable but rather bready for the style.

500 ml bottle, kindly brought home from Copenhagen by my wife. Brew #208, ABV is 5.7%. Cloudy golden colour, big white head. The aroma has the typical hefeweizen notes of banana and cloves, also notes of other undefined spices, and some less pleasant notes of rotting fruits. Typical hefeweizen flavour, zesty, fruity and refreshing with notes of cloves and banana, noticeable hops in the finish.

Had this at The European Beer Festival, Kobenhaven, 12-09-08. Never took the strength of this beer down so I hope that I’ve got the right beer of the two wheat’s that they do as no one else seemed to rate it at EBF. Poured hazy golden almost lemony with white rim around the edges. Some nice soft blunted wheat flavour’s, light sweet sherbert and finishing with some boiled sweets, nice beer.
