Bottle from Waitrose. When I saw the scores for this beer, I couldn’t believe that Waitrose beer buyer would give it the time of day. It’s got some cardboard, in fact plenty of cardboard but also a bit of zingy lemon hop too. Not awful, put a pretty regular pale lager. Not awful. I drank the whole bottle.

Bottle: Clear gold with a small white head. Sour grain malt, lemon aroma. Taste is watery, sour grain, a little citrus. Grassy. Probably tolerable from an icy cooler while beachside...otherwise, not so much.

Bottle from Waitrose. Honestly, all those beers out there and they put this on the shelves! It tastes of sweetener, and little else. Pants.

355ml bottle shared by Gaute. Frothy white head, nice lacework. Near-clear, pale golden body. Faint malt-fruity nose. Moderate flavours dry lemon and rather sweet malts. Notes of cardboard together with fruit to the aftertaste. Beyond par (Tromsø 06.11.2013).

355ml bottle at home. Pours clear golden yellow with a decent 2cm white head, although this goes fast. As does the beer! Slight hint of cooked corn, bready malt, noticeable hop presence, in the flowery end of things. You know what? This is OK. Even near-good, as far as these things go. Either people are being too hard on this, or the QC is variable.
