375 ml bottle provided by Willrunforbeer, thanks Brian. Dark brown /black with a low carbonation level without any head. Aroma is oak, brandy, raisins and mild red grape.

The brandy really helps the base stout. The base stout had a very off putting bitterness, this thankfully doesn’t have it. The mouthfeel is much better feel as well. I think that the Brandy just covers up the flawed stout. Much more drinkable then the regular.

375ml bottle (Ghost 013) pulled directly out of shipping box waiting for me tonight after work and poured into my 3 Stars anniversary snifter. Poured a very dark, virtually pitch black color, small tan head quickly dissipates, but remains a tan wisp on top. Aroma is brandy notes, with some dark fruits and some caramelized notes that remind me a bit of soy. Flavor is woody, with plenty of oak. A touch thinner than I expected, but alcohol is certainly there. Some roasted character, touch of coffee and brandy. Sipping on it. EDIT: Better as it warms, the beer is opening up a bit, brandy, alcohol, some light hazelnut.
