Cask at The Watford Beer Festival 2013. Poured a pale golden colour with a medium, loose white head. Aroma or citrus and floral hops with some fresh Granny Smith apples. Peach and apricot dominates the initial flavour, followed by light cloves and biscuity malt. Palate is quite light by contrast with notes of lemongrass and cereal.

Cask at The Cleveland Arms, London. Pours clear yellow with a fine, creamy white head. Tangy citrus nose with moderate, doughy malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with plenty of pleasantly tangy citrus, some lemon, tangerine and peach. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Medium sweet finish with faint, yeasty dough, lemon, white bread. Nice, easy drinker.

4.2% ABV in a brown 500ml bottle, best before 9th July 2010, drank 4th June 2010. Poured into my vase shaped pint (Old Speckled Hen badged) glass. This is a beer that is conditioned in the bottle and it was poured slowly to ensure it looked its best, without anything effecting its appearance. Dull golden colour, firm snowy white head on top, didn’t see any sediment leaving the bottle, there was a small covering in the base of the bottle. Lager type smell (meaning not much going on), a late addition of Cascade hops are supposed to give off an aroma, these failed at first. As the beer warmed in the glass the hops began to assert themselves in the smell. Crisp and refreshing taste, almost lagerish in its carbonisation feel and flavours. It is however an ale and a bitterness is never too far from the surface (First Gold along with the aforementioned Cascade). A summer beer and a good one to boot.

A golden ale with a super thick frothy off white head. In aroma, light grassy malt with wild grasses. In mouth, a smooth sweetish malt, with faint signs of hops. light acidity, but overall, a light pleasant ale. Bieropholie import. BB 7-7-2009.
