Aroma is spicy and sweetish with some herbs and bready malt. Flavour is somewhat sweet with toffee, bready malt, some roasted coffee and hints of licorice. Not the most typical dunkel. Kind of interesting, but nothing big still.

On tap at The Crossroad Club. Deep red brown. Aroma is caramel and roasted malts with hints of spices. Sweet without much bitterness, but a decent beer.

2011: An ok christmas beer. A bit sweet taste. Reedish colour with little white head. 2014: aroma: spicy and fruity. Flavour: fruity sweet and spicy with notes of caramel. Colour: reddish brown with a thick offwhite head.

Clear dark amber with a beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel, malty, light roasted malt and a touch of spices. Flavor is rather sweet and light bitter. I’m not a fan of dunkels in general, but this is excellent. 091110

Bottle @ Home. BBD= 011010. Pours dark reddish brown with a solid offwhite head. Aroma of alt and caramel. Taste is dark caramel, sweet malts, fruit and xmas spices. Medium body, soft carbonation. Pretty good. 161210

clear red brown with a largethick offwhite head that recedes rather quickly. aroma is mainly bitter from scandinavian type bitter hops and alc, secondarily sweetish.slight toffee. flavor is like a hvidtøl, only somewhat more bitter and less sweet. still qute tasty sweet brew. brown sugar, bitterness, caramel, sugar. nice (5,4,7,3,14)=3.3 re-rate 2020-10-23 0.5l bottle Clear amber, smooth small offwhite to beige to light brown head. 3 caramel, buttery caramel, roasted malts, a little bit like oxidization in the aroma, it smells quite good, the oxidization ish note could also be a little bit of a belgian touch to the aroma. 7 flavor is slightly herbal bitter caramel, roasted malts, caramelized notes ( lava stones for instance ) nutty, fairly bitter and dry, and not THAT sweet and spiced, but there is a little bit of cristmas spicy notes. a bit like a very slightly sweet vienna with a bit more bitter caramel and nuts than usual. good traditional danish cristmas beer with the very nice touch that it is not overly sweet or spiced, but still has some character. 7 palate 3, overall 14 so 2020 rating is (7,3,7,3,14) I am changing my rating to the 2020 evaluation.
