Special Beer from a long tradition. A level of alcohol which is not too high, characterised by a distinct aroma obtained through the use of the very best malts.

December 2013: 660 ml bottle, fom the Norwegian importer. ABV is 5.2%. Copper colour, moderate off-white head. Malty and dusty aroma, but mostly of unfermented wort, hints of stale jam. The flavour is also malty and dusty, distinct fruity notes too. Low bitterness. Nothing particularly "Christmassy" about it. Not undrinkable, but not a beer I’d spend money on.

Bottle. Pours clear amber. Aroma is cat food, cardboard, wet stuff. Body is medium, low flavours, cardboard and cat food. Okay texture, but that's about it

Pours copper, with abundant whitish head. Aroma is malty. Body is light, with some carbonations tickling the tongue. Taste is balanced between sweet and bitter, with more final bitterness. Decent beer. No relationships with typical Christmas beers.

Bottle from CIBI E Vini, Copenhagen - amber pour with white head. Sweet toasty malty aroma and taste, some caramel, some faint spices, watery consistency, not bad but pretty bland.

5.2% a big 600 ml bottle for a few euros at Eataly. It pours a clear mahogany with a thick foamy beige head. The nose is biscuity malts, the taste is boring but good: nutty caramel biscotti grainy but overall pretty good it just doesn't really say Christmas more hello I am a nice macro brown ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Mother, Copenhagen. Poured a clear Medium amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malty, light red berry fruit. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a light yeast light sweet malt fruit mineral palate. Moderate to light bodied with soft carbonation. A little light and lacks defining flavours.
