Dark amber color with a tan head. Toffee, bready and fruity aroma, with some alcohol. Full body and a bit soft carbonation. A bit to sweet for me. Dried fruit, molasses, toffee, dark malt and some alcohol. Not my cup of barley wine.
[Bottle bought in Copenhagen, Denmark]

Bottle at home. Bottled more than 3 years ago. The colour is golden mahogny with a small, light beige head. Aroma of caramel, oak, liqueur, brown sugar and dried fruits. The flavour is sweet with more caramel, liqueur with the addition of sweet candy and leather. Has a soft and slick mouth feel, and a very light bitterness. A pretty sweet beer but is still well balanced.

33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Nordic. Rated on 19.03.2011
Aroma is rather malty with some raisins and ripe fruits. Flavour has lots of sweet malt, some raisins and dark, ripe fruits. A bit harsh finish. A bit weird Barley Wine – not in a good way.

Denmark, September 2009. Deep red with a small but firm head. Sweet malty, fruity hops, lots of alcohol. Rather sweet with a hoppy background, but the alcohol taste is quite harsh. Pretty unbalanced and not that enjoyable.

Brown with light brown head - malty aroma - good malt body, with hints of raisins, and some hints of warming alcohol - nice

0.66l bottle. Pours a cloudy caramel-brown body with a tiny off-white head leaving big lacings. Aromas are BIG sweet caramel, grassy hops and apples. Medium.bodied and low carbonation. Tastes as caramel-sweet as it smells. Also some fruitiness: apple and reisins. Finishes with a quite powerful and not to well hidden alcoholic and yeasty flavor. A bit to sweet and unbalanced for my taste, but a interessting brew.
