Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky caramel brown color with a medium sized creamy orange beige head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet toasty malts, fruity hops and had a faint metallic undertone. The flavor was bitterish with toasty malts, fruity hops and a metallic note. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied.

Firkin version at Barley’s 8th Annual Mini RAF (05/22/10): This beer is a murky amber-brown color with a thin beige head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Fruity hops aroma with some malty behind it. Medium body with flavors of earthy malt, caramel and piney hops. The finish is sweet caramel malt with a short hoppy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.
