50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is dough yeasty and light fruity hops. Flavour is fresh hops, slight subdued by a caramel malt base. Gains some bitterness towards the finish. Quite classic pale ale with a mild tea like flavour to it.

Bottle, 5.3%. OK flavour hop aroma. Dark orange colour. The flavour gets a little citric and unpleasantly bitter.

An orange beer with a slight haze underneath a bubbly light orange head. The aroma is fresh and grassy combined with notes of lemon - my first guess was British hops, but the bottle claims Cascade - then not enough has been used. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel, and this typically "We’ve just started microbrewing" note, that is hard to describe - but it is very rustic. It also has a hint of metal, before a slightly bitter end sets in, which in turn resides for a fruity aftertaste. Use more hops - please - otherwise it is not an APA.

Bottled (BBE 07/2006) Hazy nut brown, small off-white head. Yeasty, flowery hoppy nose. Quite typical APA - bready, hoppy, quite yeasty, sweet malty notes.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a lightly creamy, off-white head. A lightly citrusy nose from the Cascades. Medium-bodied with some caramel sweetness and a light bitterness in the finish. A decent but far from great APA. 100506
