2004 draught. Appears a drab brown with some dark yellow-amber tinges in it and a decent white head. Aroma has light toffee, nuts and some mildly spicy hops. Flavor is pretty hoppy and spicy, without much dryness. But that’s quite alright, as the sweet brown malts complement the hops well. Maybe a hint of vinousness, or at least some light fruit esters in there. Mouthfeel was excellent; lightly creamy, not overcarbonated and had a strong medium body.

Hazy dark amber coloured body with a frothy light tan head. Aroma of nuts, malt, slight hops and some caramel. Light-bodied; Sour-vinegary flavour with a bit of nuts and hops up front. Aftertaste light and acidic, not bitter at all. Overall, a brown that doesn't show enough roasty characteristics, but not the worst beer ever! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 12-March-2004.

Nice aroma of malt and some west coast hops. Hazy brown. Rich malt and nuts flavours with some of the hops smelled.

I guess with a name like Acme you would expect something kind of generic. I tasted some malt, nuts and brown sugar but it was very light. I actually like Newcastle better.

Very nice malt profile, med body and sweetish aroma. Med head. Nice malty flavor with an interesting, almost spicy hop flavor.
