Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky reddish-brown color with a medium sized creamy orange-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweetish and tangy with mixed fruits and yeast. The flavor was somewhat harsh and boozy with toasted caramel, raisin, fig, toffee and bread. The booziness grows and distracts. Long finish with lingering alcohol. Moderately full bodied. A pleasant beer but I expect better in this style.
