Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a nut brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was woody and a bit toasty with a bread crust element. The flavor was toasty and a bit sour and astringent with faint golden fruit, wood and apple. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

Sample at Market Garden for the CBW Collaboration Kickoff on 10/09/2015. Clear dark amber color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and a bit of fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of roast malt, ripe fruit and earthy hops. The finish is malty with a touch of hops. Decent overall.
