Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet nutty combined with notes of malt, and light notes of fruit and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of nuts, and lesser notes of fruit, leading to a dry nutty and slightly bitter finish.

500ml bottle from Barley Wine, Copenhagen. Clear, dark brown body with a short lived head. Sweet roasted smell of dark malts. Balanced caramel and chocolate malty flavours. A decent brown ale, but perhaps a bit anonymous (23.02.2007).

Red-tinged chestnut colour. Rich nutty aroma with a hint of wood. Moderately rich flavour is earthy, woody, and lightly nutty with what I’d have to call a certain piquancy in the finish. Solid, satisfying brown.
