Willemoes Ale is a full-bodied top-fermented beer with a pleasant malty character. Willemoes Ale is brewed with pilsner malt and the very best hop. The delicate blend of brown sugar and liquorice achieves a perfectly balanced sweet and rich flavour.
’A beer, completely sweeping everyone off their feet’.

Bottle Chestnut , brown creamy head. Interresting aroma: Fruity notes, strawberries, metallic dirt, nuts, some roasted edges. Flavor is much more one-dimensional - some roasted sweet malt notes on a otherwise thin metallic body.

Bottle. Dark, nut-brown colour, small head. Roasted, sweet, slightly metallic aroma. Roasted, slightly sweet flavour without much aftertaste. Pleasant enough, but not a very challenging beer.

Bottled. It looks fine and the aroma is average malty. The flavour is very ordinary, sweet and thin and has that cheap cardboard note. Considering the other ratings, maybe the problem is in the bottling?

The arom is sweet with light notes of licorice and malt. The color is red-brown and it has a small disappearin beige head. The flavor is malty sweet with good notes of licorice, and a dry hoppy end. The alcohol tickles the tongue slightly.

Sampled draught at Dansk Ølfestival.
Pale nut brown. Sweet and carmelly. Bold, simple, clean mouthfeel,. Traces of salt, nuts and syrup. Some licorice in the herbal, bitterish finish. Does have some nice flavours, but is unbalanced.
