Cask at the State bar. It pours clear deep gold with a decent white head. The nose is soft, juicy, fragrant, lemon, lime, lychee and biscuit. The taste is crisp, bitter, earthy, bread, grapefruit, lemon, light biscuit, touch of peppery spice with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent stuff.

Cask at Pilgrim’s Progress, Bedford. Medium gold, plentiful carbonation with a good-sized white head. Lemon drops, gardenia and talcum powder aroma. Fruity taste, more bitter than sweet but well-balanced. A moment of puckering bitterness leave to usher forth a juicy citrus and tropical fruit finish. More bitterness later on in the long aftertaste. Wow.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear amber pour with a substantial frothy off white head, tangerine and malt aroma, taste has some sharp citrus action, floral action, malt and biscuit backbone, ok stuff.

On cask at Cloisters. Appearance - golden amber with a nice head. Nose - big orange note and biscuity malt background. Taste - more oranges well melded with the biscuit malt. Palate - medium bodied with a big tangy texture and a fairly good finish. Not quite as fresh as I’d prefer but still good. Overall - very nice but would increase the bittering ever so slightly.

Slightly hazy orange colour, mediumsized beige head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is grassy, herbal, hayish and mild bready maltyness. Flavour is bigtime bitterness with mild yeasty and malty notes along with some grass and mild earthyness as well. Rather bitter finish.
