Blond color, big head. Light aroma, corn and vanilla. Dry mouthfeel, light taste, a bit lemony: bad. Useless final.

Guess I’ll be the oddball here and say that this is the worst wit I’ve ever had. Not as cloudy as a traditional white, but not clear like a filtered one. Also, in addition to the tiny particles that contribute to the appropriate cloudiness, there were bits of larger material floating about. Poured with a light fizzy head that disappeared quickly. Bubbly light mouthfeel. Clean citrusy aroma. Lemony citrus flavor but lemony in a sort of lemon Kool-Ade way as opposed to a spritzy citrus character. Unless I had a bad bottle, I’d have to say to stay far away from this and seek out some Allagash. Update. Nothing about my resampling of this beer makes me want to change my rating. Citrus is not as present as I previously wrote. Instead a spicier note dominates, with a hint of orange in the background. This bottle was generally clear and has the appearance of a filtered beer, golden and dark for a wit. Small bubbly head disappeared in seconds. Plain wheat flavor up front, with an overly hoppy finish. I’ll raise it from 1.7 to 2.0, that is it.
