Fur Hvede is a top-fermented wheat beer of German inspiration. It is brewed with four different types of malt and two types of hops, which are added three times. The result is a sparkling and unfiltered beer with a color like reddish-golden amber. With a dense cream-colored head that has a long shelf life and gives fine lace on the glass.

Fur Hvede has a strong, but well-balanced aroma of fruit and banana. And a fresh aromatic and fruity taste with a slightly acidic finish.

Draught at KØ07. Cloudy orange/caramel colour, nice creamy white head. The flavour is weak, but not bad. Caramelly, but I do not get any spices or much banana. Thin aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel. Not much character.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Cloudy golden. Aroma of mashed banana. Sweet and sticky with medium body and spritzy rounded mouthfeel. Notes of raspberries and bubblegum. Fresh and drinkable, though a bit sweet.

Since we stayed in Fur for a week I had a chance to try almost all their beers. This was tha least impressive but tasty nevertheless. One of the best non-german hefes.

Draught @ Fur Bryghus. A dark orange beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is slightly wheaty, while the flavor is wheaty with notes of caramel, with a light body and a thin sparkeling finish. Highly carbonated and good mouthfeel. A very, clean and refreshing beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark golden, almost bronze coloured. Starts of almost clear but clouds and darkens as you approach the bottom. Tall head and heavy carbonation - this is a noisy beer! Comes with the most fantastic fruit esters, banana, citrus - the works. Solid yet very refreshing. 310105
