Fantastic, crisp amber session bitter whose rich character belies the low abv. Light on the palate and kind to the head, it delivers delicate fruitiness from Cascade balanced with biscuity maltiness. Firefly has a clean and citrusy finish, late hopped with Saaz.

Slightly foggy, amber body under a naked surface. Rather weak in both aroma and flavour. Some hoppy notes can be detected added by a touch of smooth bitterness on the swallow (half pint from cask at Market Porter after a shopping session at Utobeer, 01.05.2008).

Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 5/9/07. A decent session bitter. Amber with an off-white head that left rings of lace down the glass. Aroma of red fruit and floral hops. Flavour of caramel with a dry finish. Drinkable.

Cask Fully clear, amber beer with a B.C."H.". Fresh, dry UK hops, noga with pistacchio’s. Rosewater taste, very outspoken "amandine", very light but perfumey. Lacking any backing, it deserves obviously better, where are the hops? Very light - very. Nice nose, and then... Emptiness what doest thou hold me?

[Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] A very hazy - almost unclear beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with light notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty and rather citrusy, combined with lighter notes of caramel, leading to a dry and very bitter end.

Cask conditioned at The Swan Inn, Beer Festival, Islip, Oxon Sun 30th July. I was really quite impressed with this amber coloured beer, started off fruity and was a touch sweet maybe, but a very crisp and refreshing beer that is nice and hoppy and certainly delivers more than it’s strength would suggest, a good session beer.
